This Citroen DS3 performance exhaust is made in 2.5"/63.5mm pipework and fit from the catalytic converter section backwards (Cat-back) these exhausts replace the centre and rear sections.

The resonated exhaust option includes the centre silencer and has a subtle but sporty tone. This exhaust however, is also available as a non-resonated version which is a louder option, as it excludes the centre silencer and therefore, has a sportier exhaust note.

All relevant fittings and gaskets are supplied.

Cobra Sport were keen to develop a system for the DS3 which would match the fun and sporty feel of the car. The decision was made to manufacture the systems with 2.5" (62.5mm) mandrel bent T304 stainless steel pipework to allow for maximum gas flow and to deepen the exhaust tone. The completed exhaust systems create a much improved sound track on the DS3. During the 4,000 rpm static test the sound level of the resonated cat back system increased by 3.5db to register 78.4db on the sound meter. The non resonated system takes this a step further recording a more pronounced 86.5db an increase of 12db over the standard system.

Our development car was fully tested on the rolling road with the Cobra Sport cat back exhaust upgrade fitted. This testing revealed a 3.35% increase in horse power recording and impressive 154.3bhp. The testing also revealed excellent gains in torque with a 11.4% increase with the total figure jumping up to just over 200 lb-ft. Mass also reduced providing a weight saving of just over 0.5kg in comparison to its OE counterpart even with the largely increased pipework bore size. All in all these are certainly impressive results for this little car.

Styling options consist of standout 3" and 3.25" twin tailpipes in various styles including the new Blackout Ceramic tips. Available in these options are less obtrusive slash cut tailpipes which compliment the DS3's aesthetics nicely. All the exhaust variants are designed to remove the restrictive O/E first silencer which produces a more powerful sound track and overall, providing a purposeful but unobtrusive sound quality which in no way interferes with day-to-day drivability. Unrivalled quality is the hallmark of every Cobra Sport exhaust. Each exhaust is engineered to the highest tolerances. Mandrel bending of the stainless steel tubes ensures clean airflow. Jig manufacturing and TIG welding procedures ensure great looks and a superlative finish.
