The VUDU Performance Stage 3 Golf R full package is a force to be reckoned with not only producing some of the highest peak figures we have seen to date but offering a sublime driving experience under the curve. It's in our DNA to offer tuning packages that compliment everyday driving with astonishing power levels and this big turbo Golf R package carries that ethos all the way through.

Our ultimate stage 3 kit comprises an upgraded Garrett Powermax V2 Golf R turbo at its heart and this is the reason for all that power at consistently low demand over other IS38 Hybrid turbo options found widely used in the market today.

We believe removing the stock frame IS38 turbo found on the stock VW Golf and upgrading to this purpose built garret big turbo upgrade allows for better control of the boost pressure lower demand and a far more consistent turbo built to the highest quality.

Pair this turbo with some of the best supporting hardware hand picked and tested in house by us and the results are simply breathtaking with up to 550bhp from the EA888 GEN 2 2.0 tsi found in the MQB platform cars.

Garrett Power Max V2 Golf R Big Turbo:

Stage 3 Turbo Kit

The ultimate upgrade for the IS38 Golf turbo. With a full big turbo core from the garret G-series this unit is a direct replacement for the stock frame IS38 turbo meaning that you can keep the stock turbo as part of the upgrade kit. The turbo uses a high flow bespoke cast AR high quality turbine housing 5-axis CNC machined turbine wheel with extended tip technology and has an optional turbo speed input sensor.

The unit is supplied as a direct fit with no cutting or drilling required and has a brand new diverter valve, oil lines and gaskets to make it a true direct replacement. Please note the unit is marginally bigger externally than the stock IS38 turbo but can still be fitted easily.

Airtec Golf R Intercooler:

Airtec Gen 2 Intercooler Golf R

The GEN 2 Golf R intercooler from Airtec is a monster we have used this front mount intercooler on all our builds from stage 1 to stage 3 since its release it is without doubt the best performing Golf R intercooler available.

Its core design is bar and plate which whilst slightly heavier is far more resilient to heat soak and in many cases keeps charge temperature within a few degrees of the ambient air temperature.

Utilised entirely on its own before a software upgrade this cooler will help however when you are pushing for upwards of 500bhp consistently its a key part of the build.

Autotech HPFP & VUDU Intank Fuel Pump

Autotech HPFP

With big boost comes big fuel demand and both the Autotech HPFP for the Golf R and our own hand crafted stage 4 intank fuel pump offer up the fuel requirement needed to surpass the 500-600bhp goals regularly set by the MQB market.

The Autotech pump is installed on the high pressure side along with a small adjustment to the fuel lines to give a more consistent fuel flow to the MPI injectors as well as the high pressure side.

Our VUDU Performance intank pump creates flow from the fuel tank capable of supporting over 600bhp at the crank. Removing all fuel limitations for our stage 3 customers. Using an upgraded pump fitted into a brand new OEM fuel sender meaning no blocked filters and ultimate fuel pressure and flow.

Racingline R600 & Forge MQB Inlet Hose

Feeding the Farratt turbo monster with air is vital and this is where our favourite induction kit and inlet hose option has you covered. The racingline R600 intake has been leading the market for big turbo Golf R builds since its release back in 2015. Its enclosed airbox design and OEM+ intake feel makes this the best performing induction system you can buy for the Golf R.

Forge Motorsport are known for innovative tuning products on the MQB platform and the design of the inlet hose is simple but extremely effective. Utilising an inbuilt turbo elbow means your paying for one part that completes two jobs. this is a requirement for all stage 3 Golf R builds.

Milltek Sport Exhaust and Downpipe Options

Our decision to include the Milltek Sport Exhaust and Sports Cat downpipe is based on years of experience testing all manufacturer's exhaust. Whilst the Milltek exhaust isn't necessarily the biggest available it is the perfect balance for gas speed, sounds superb and from an installation standpoint is the highest quality product available for the MK7 and MK7.5 Golf R platform.

Please note the Decat Exhaust is another option here, but this is for off road use only and therefore not included in this particular remap package.

NGK Race Plugs and 4bar Map sensor upgrade

NGK Spark Plugs

With all this extra demand we need to upgrade the spark plugs the only option here for perfect ignition timing is the NGK race plugs offering a strong spark every time for a long time. No requirement to gap and a thorough race bred spark plug.

Running with an upgraded VW 4 bar OEM map sensor allows us to see boost control past 2bar of boost pressure. It is necessary for us to build the consistent boost control you can expect from our VUDU Performance software.

Bringing it all together of course is our VUDU Golf R tuning. unparalleled in our approach this remap software is custom built for each of our bespoke car builds meaning you get a tailor made remap calibration for your car.

Our Golf R tuning is heavily developed in house using our own demonstration vehicles and 2000whp hub dyno. This means we can work on producing a polished driving experience under the curve as well as exhilarating peak numbers of up to 550bhp on the stock EA888 engine.

With the use of our bespoke high speed data logging equipment that is exclusive to VUDU Performance we are able to patch the SIMOS18 ECU and produce data like no other. This gives us the clearest picture of what each unique car is doing during our tuning process.
