The VUDU Ford Fiesta ST rear cage designed for Track days and show cars. This direct bolt in cage doesn't require cutting. The rear cage requires the removal of the rear seats and can be installed in under 2 hours.
Designed to bolt into the factory locating point this cage can be installed and removed easily. Not only can this cage be used as a show cage it is strong enough to take on a large impact.
As you can see from a crash that was sustained at Knockhill the VUDU roll cage stood up to the task of protecting the driver who walked away without injury. As you can see from the images there are no cracks or stress fractures on the welded joints or mounting brackets.
Fitting The Roll Cage:
Firstly remove passenger seat to allow more room to work and tape off any surrounding plastics and trims to prevent any damage to them. Then remove the rear bench and seats as well as seatbelts. Carefully position the cage in the interior of the car and fix the rear of the cage to the body of the car, there should be two threads already there to do this.
To secure the front of the cage to the car, trim the surrounding carpet and mark the holes which will need to be drilled, then center punch and drill with the appropriate drill bit. Once the holes have been drilled make your way underneath the car and fix the supplied plates making sure to evenly tight each bolt as you go along. Once all bolts are wound in, tighten to spec and paint mark so that if the bolts do come loose it can be easily spotted.
