The VW Golf R is a 2.0 TSI turbo charged engine with an outstanding engine power of 300 BHP and 280 ft-lb which comes with a AWD MQB Platform. The four-wheel drive system also increases the car's performance, as all four wheels are receiving power, instead of just the two front or rear wheels.

It also helps to improve the car's handling, as the power is distributed equally to all four wheels, resulting in better cornering and manoeuvrability. Additionally, the four-wheel drive system provides better grip when accelerating, as all four wheels are working together to provide greater traction.

The Golf R either has the option of a 6 speed manual gearbox transmission or a 7 speed automatic transmission with a top speed of 155 mph. With a 0-62 of 5.1 seconds this car is a good competitor to being the best hot hatch on the market.

The Golf R comes with a few different driving modes which can be selected whilst driving to fit your personal taste. The modes available are Eco, Normal and Race mode.

Since your Golf R comes with an automatic gearbox, we strongly recommend that you consider a TCU Software upgrade (Transmission Control Unit)..This software is designed to optimise the performance of the DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) software, allowing the gearbox to function more efficiently and shift gears more smoothly.

Our talented team of technicians in the AET Motorsport workshop understands that no two engines are the same and as part of our service, we will connect your VW Golf R to our very own advanced chassis dyno, to test the performance of the vehicle before and after we map the car. This provides both our technicians and yourself with safe and reliable information on the map, showing us the exact power produced from the map.

Our VUDU Performance Stage 2 Remap was designed to specifically work with a stock car so we can fine tune the ECU to allow us to alter the ignition timing , boost pressure and throttle control amongst many other things. This would be done on our very own Dyno Hub rather than a rolling road allowing the car to reach to the highest performance potential.

Just to ensure this we highly recommend using Tesco 99 or Shell V-power to sustain the high performance that your vehicle can perform at. If you are wanting to use the regular petrol please make sure to let us know as the mechanic will be able to code this into the remap.
